Patience

I was inspired by old Puritain value names (like Hope, Chastity, Felicity...) and decided to do some illustrations based off of the idea of imbuing someone with virtue through their names. 

 

I was looking at Alphonse Mucha's "The Moon and Stars" series, which features woman draped in gowns lit by soft lights.  For this, I chose a 1950s nurse as my model and symbol of patience and generosity.
